
New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme
Introduction
The Capital Investment Entrant Scheme was implemented on October 27, 2003, and suspended on January 15, 2015. The initial investment threshold was HKD 6.5 million, which was later raised to HKD 10 million. The New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme was announced for Dec.19, 2023 and officially launched on March 1, 2024. The program emphasizes promoting Hong Kong's economy and industrial development, creating opportunities for applicants eager to establish businesses in Hong Kong.
The minimum investment requirement is set at HKD 30 million and The permitted investment assets include:
1. Involving 27 million HK dollars in financial assets, such as stocks, bonds, deposit certificates, joint venture collective investment plans, limited partnership funds, or non-residential real estate, etc.;
2. At least 3 million HK dollars shall be invested in innovative and technological industries or key industries that are beneficial to Hong Kong's long-term development.
Application requirements
1. Age: The main applicant must be 18 years old or above;
2. Eligible Applicants: foreign nationals, Chinese nationals having obtainedPRof a foreign country;Macao Special Administrative Region residents; orChinese residents of Taiwan
3. Net Assets : The main applicant is absolutely beneficially entitled with a market value of not less than HK$30 million Net (or equivalent in foreign currencies) throughout the six months preceding the date he/she lodged the application for net asset assessment;
4. Investment in permissible investment assets – makes investment of not less than HK$30 million Net (or equivalent in foreign currencies) in the permissible investment assets;
5. No Criminal Record

4. Submit Application to the HK Immigration Department
5. Obtain Principle Approval Letter
6. Complete Investment and Obtain Investment Certificate
7. Submit Investment Documents to Immigration Department
8. Obtain Final Approval Letter
9. Apply for a Hong Kong ID
