
Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals (ASMTP)
Introduction
The Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals, also known as ASMTP, is an employer-sponsored work visa policy launched by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in 2003. It aims to attract mainland talents with professional skills, knowledge, or experiences that are in demand in Hong Kong but are locally scarce, in order to fill talent gaps in specific industries and promote economic development. ASMTP has no industry restrictions or quota limits. The approval is granted for 3 years, with a renewal pattern of 【3+3+2】years. After 7 years, applicants may apply for permanent residency in Hong Kong!

Application Requirements
1. The main applicant must be at least18 years old.
2. Hold a bachelor's degree or higher, or possess good technical qualifications, professional capabilities, work experience and achievements.
3. There is a genuine job vacancy.
4. The applicant has a confirmed offer of employment and is employed in a job relevant to his academic qualifications or work experience that cannot be readily taken up by the local work force.
5. The remuneration and benefits must be broadly commensurate with the prevailing market standards for professionals in Hong Kong.
6. Company establishment and operational status: Generally, the company must have been established for more than one year, having a physical office, employing at least 3 local staff with continuous Mandatory Provident Fund contributions for 6 months, and have an annual turnover of not less than HKD 3 million.
7. No criminal record.
Application Process
1. Assessing and signing the agreement.
2. Collecting application materials.
3. Submission of application.
4. Application approved.
5. Processing of D-type visa.
6. Entry to activate the visa.
7. Finishing fingerprinting.
8. Obtaining the ID card.
